Hormones
What is DHEA?
DHEA is a naturally made hormone produced by the human body. DHEA is produced by the adrenal glands and is responsible for helping to produce other important hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, progestogen, and corticosteroids. Like many other hormones, as the human body ages, some people notice that DHEA levels begin to fall — studies show that by ages of 65 to 70, the human body typically makes only 10 - 20% of the DHEA that is made from the ages of 20 - 25.
