Effects of Air Pollution

The causes of air pollution are nearly as widespread as the harmful effects they have. While some U.S. cities have improved the quality of their air due to recent regulations, there are still cities across the country that continue to struggle with pollution. In 2017, it was found that 8 million people die yearly from air pollution exposure. Even in cleaner areas, life expectancies can be shortened by several months.

On average, an adult takes about 20,000 breaths per day, leaving them exposed to a slew of toxins or gases. These breaths aren’t taken without risk, as there are numerous health
conditions that have been proven again and again to be associated with the pollution that
plagues many cities across the world. Conditions that are shown to be caused by exposure to pollution include:
  1. Asthma
  2. COPD
  3. Lung Cancer
  4. Irritation to the eyes and upper respiratory system
  5. Headaches
  6. Allergic reactions
  7. Heart disease
  8. Chronic respiratory disease
  9. Permanent damage to internal organs
Breathing polluted air puts people at a higher risk for asthma, and ozone and traffic pollutants can cause asthma attacks. Pollutants are often carcinogens, and when people live in very populated areas, they are constantly exposed to cancer-causing toxic contaminants. The brain requires oxygen to function, and when air is filled with pollutants, headaches and nausea are common. COPD can be caused by significant long-term exposure to air toxins. Even low toxicity levels can lead to increased risks for COPD or pneumonia.

Air pollutants can be particularly risky for children and the elderly, though anyone may be affected at any point in life. These diseases can vary in severity, but will almost always impact the quality of life.

While the effects of breathing polluted air are varied and there isn’t a cure for all symptoms, there are specific combinations of ingredients that can prove helpful for treating multiple symptoms at a time. Our Lung Detox oral spray is a homeopathic spray containing ingredients to treat asthma, bronchial congestion, low energy, sleeplessness, sore throats, and general pain. It is formulated to support detoxification of the lungs and is able to temporarily relieve symptoms associated with inhaling polluted air. Treated symptoms include poor concentration, headaches, shakes, fatigue, muscle aches, and more.

Our Lung Detox has no side effects or drug interactions. While the consequences of air pollution may seem daunting, our detox spray is formulated to relieve many of the symptoms that people may face in their day-to-day lives.
