The active components in arnica are sesquiterpene lactones, which are known to reduce inflammation and decrease pain.
In homeopathy, Arnica has been used for various mental and physical pains. It has a known homeopathic cure for stress, impotence, sleeping problems, baldness, emotional shock, and trauma caused by past incidents. It is also the first remedy used by homeopaths to heal people affected by shock, trauma, or injury to the body.
